Hayz Harland (they/them)Hayz Harland, AKA Tygermylk is a force to be reckoned with. Their debut album Local Girl, Always Tired, ten years in the making, marks a significant milestone in their rise — a powerful coming-of-age record shaped by life experience, grief, resilience, chronic illness and tireless advocacy for LGBTQIA+ rights and disability inclusion. Expect dreamy vocals, indie-pop earworms and nostalgic guitars, all underpinned by courageous honesty. With growing support from DIY Mag, Consequence, tmrw magazine, BBC Introducing and more, the momentum continues to build.
An established live performer, Tygermylk cut their teeth busking on London’s Southbank, harnessing vulnerability and connection. Performances at Glastonbury, Isle of Wight Festival and Channel 4’s The Last Leg have cemented their reputation as a compelling presence on stage. In 2024, they co-founded Queer Ass Folk to help create the kind of intentional, community-led live spaces they longed for as an emerging queer artist. -
Charlie Austen (she/her)Charlie Austen is a one-woman tour-de-force across the folk, soul and rock spectrum. With airy yet powerful, blues-infused vocals, intricate guitar work and her signature barefoot suitcase drum-kit invention, she creates performances that are both intimate and electrifying — weaving together stories of life, death, joy, heartbreak and queer history.
An extensive UK tourer with high-profile dates in Europe and beyond, and features on national radio, Charlie brings both industry experience and grassroots spirit to her work. In 2024, she co-founded Queer Ass Folk to help carve out intentional, affirming live spaces for LGBTQ+ artists and audiences alike — a natural extension of her commitment to queer storytelling and community-building.
